Heide Refinery

Located in northern Germany, the Heide refinery has an annual capacity of 4.5 million tonnes of crude oil and generated a turnover of over €2 billion in 2015. It offers a high degree of production flexibility through optimal crude selection and the marketing and trading, both locally and globally, of a wide array of refined oil products and chemicals.

Heide has now been part of the Klesch Group for over 6 years refining three times as many types of crude as in 2010 and demonstrating leading availability and record low unplanned downtime.

Heide employs 500 workers and is the largest industrial employer in the region.

Klesch Aluminium Delfzijl

Klesch Aluminium Delfzijl is a leading aluminium smelter with an annual production capacity of 160,000 tonnes of aluminium slabs and extrusion billets.

Acquired by the Klesch Group from Tata Steel in 2009, it underwent a large restructuring in 2014 and was rebranded as Klesch Aluminium Delfzijl.

The operation employs around 200 professionals who have extensive experience in the aluminium industry. The operation is strategically located with direct deep-sea access for easy export to primary customers in The Netherlands, Germany and Spain.

The primary aluminium is generated from alumina by means of an electrolysis process, while the remaining half is produced from recycled aluminium scrap.

As a large power consumer, Klesch Aluminium is part of a consortium building its own proprietary power line that will connect the plant directly to the German national power grid.

Leali Steel

Located in northern Italy, Leali Steel is a prominent producer in the speciality steel market with an annual capacity of 695,000 tonnes.

Leali Steel operates three plants: an electric arc furnace and continuous caster plant that recycles and processes scrap materials into new square and round billets; a rolling mill that transforms the billets into high-quality speciality steel bars; and a cold finishing plant.

Leali Steel employs around 200 professionals.
